I'd known Rupert for many years through the local music scene. His gig guide was invaluable to musicians and punters alike. His enthusiasm knew no bounds, and he turned up at many and varied gigs, always taking pictures which was very helpful for musicians who wanted to come up with publicity posters, I used them for our band with his blessing, he of course was always given a credit for his work. He also took part in local jam sessions and ran one in Marlow for a number of years, very successfully. He was a very good, decent, and friendly man and is hugely missed. My sympathies and thoughts are with his wife and family at this very sad time.
